At a glance: yacht rental in Dubai runs from 450 AED per hour for a 42ft yacht carrying up to 12 guests to 3,000 AED per hour for a 100ft super yacht carrying up to 60. Fixed packages start at 900 AED for a two-hour sunset charter. Captain, crew, fuel, soft drinks and towels are always included.

Hourly rates by yacht size

The single biggest factor in what a Dubai charter costs is the length of the boat, because length determines guest capacity, crew size and fuel burn. Everything else — the route, the day of the week, the extras — moves the number by a margin around that base.

YachtLengthGuestsCabinsFrom
Marina Breeze42 ftup to 121450 AED / hour
Gulf Diamond56 ftup to 202900 AED / hour
Majesty Prestige75 ftup to 3531,800 AED / hour
Royal Arabian100 ftup to 6053,000 AED / hour

Read that table per head rather than per hour and the picture changes. Twelve friends on the 42ft for two hours costs roughly 75 AED each. Twenty on the 56ft for three hours is about 135 AED each. Chartering is priced by the vessel, so the larger your group, the cheaper it gets per person.

Fixed packages versus hourly booking

Packages bundle a duration and a route at a set price, which removes the guesswork about how long the loop actually takes. Three are worth knowing:

  • Sunset Escape — 900 AED. Two hours on the 42ft for up to 12 guests, timed to be off Palm Jumeirah as the light drops.
  • Gold Cruise — 2,700 AED. Three hours on the 56ft for up to 20 guests, covering the full Marina and Palm route with a swim stop and BBQ setup available.
  • Prestige — from 5,400 AED. Three hours on the 75ft for up to 35 guests, the usual choice for larger celebrations.

Book hourly when you want an unusual duration or an off-peak slot. Book a package when you want the standard experience without negotiating each component.

What the price already covers

Every charter rate on this page includes the following, and none of it is billed separately:

  • A licensed captain and crew for the whole duration
  • Fuel for the standard Marina to Burj Al Arab route
  • Soft drinks, bottled water and ice
  • Towels and life jackets for every guest
  • Bluetooth sound system
  • Fishing gear on packages that list it

What is charged on top

The extras are where quotes diverge between operators, so it is worth being explicit about them:

  • Alcohol. Not supplied. Guests bring their own, which is permitted on a private charter.
  • Catering and BBQ. Priced per head and arranged in advance.
  • Water sports. Jet skis, banana boat and donut rides are billed per session.
  • Decoration and cake. Common for birthdays and proposals, quoted per setup.
  • Photography. A photographer on board is an hourly add-on.
  • Extended routes. Anything well past the standard loop adds fuel.

When you book changes what you pay

Weekday charters are typically 10 to 15 per cent cheaper than the same booking on a weekend. Friday and Saturday evenings are Dubai's peak slots, and the sunset window on those two days is the single most contested time on the water.

Two other timing effects are worth planning around. Between June and September the daytime heat pushes almost all demand into the evening, so a midday charter in July is negotiable in a way it never is in February. And during major events — New Year's Eve, the Dubai Shopping Festival, National Day — pricing moves to event rates and availability disappears weeks ahead.

The cheapest hour on the water in Dubai is a weekday afternoon in summer. The most expensive is New Year's Eve at sunset, and it sells out first.

Why quotes differ so much between operators

A headline rate is only comparable if you know what sits behind it. The three most common gaps in a low quote are fuel billed separately after the trip, a route that stops short of Burj Al Arab, and crew gratuity added at the end. None of those are visible in the per-hour number.

The practical test: ask for the all-in figure for your exact duration, guest count and route, in writing, before comparing anything. Any operator who cannot produce that in a message is quoting a number that will move.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to rent a yacht in Dubai?

Between 450 and 3,000 AED per hour depending on the size of the yacht. A 42ft yacht for up to 12 guests starts at 450 AED per hour; a 56ft for up to 20 guests at 900 AED; a 75ft for up to 35 guests at 1,800 AED; and a 100ft super yacht for up to 60 guests at 3,000 AED. Fixed packages start at 900 AED for a two-hour sunset charter.

Is there a minimum booking duration?

Yes. Charters run in whole hours and the practical minimum is two hours, because one hour is not enough to leave the marina, reach Palm Jumeirah or Burj Al Arab, and return. Every published package is built on that two-hour floor.

What is included in the hourly rate?

The captain, the crew, fuel for the standard route, soft drinks, water, ice, towels, safety equipment and a Bluetooth sound system. There is no separate charge for any of these.

What costs extra?

Alcohol, which you bring yourself. Catering and BBQ setup. Water sports such as jet skis, the banana boat or a donut ride. Decoration and cake arrangements for celebrations. Professional photography. Fuel for routes well beyond the standard loop.

Are yacht rentals cheaper on weekdays in Dubai?

Typically 10 to 15 per cent below weekend pricing. Friday and Saturday evenings are the peak slots in Dubai and price accordingly. A Tuesday afternoon on the same yacht is the cheapest way to charter.

Do I pay per person or per yacht?

Per yacht. The rate covers the whole vessel up to its guest limit, so the cost per head falls as your group grows. Twelve people on a 42ft yacht for two hours works out at roughly 75 AED each.

How much deposit is required?

Bookings are confirmed with a deposit, with the balance settled before departure. The exact split depends on the yacht and the date; you get the figure in writing on WhatsApp before you commit to anything.

Why do prices differ so much between operators in Dubai?

Mostly because of what is bundled. A low headline rate often excludes fuel, crew gratuity, or the route past Burj Al Arab. Ask any operator for the all-in figure for your exact duration and route before comparing numbers.
